CAP-PAO
is a listserv for the Civil Air Patrol public affairs officer/information
officer.
Neither the listserv nor this website are official functions the Civil Air
Patrol organization.

CAP-PAO was created
in 1997 as a "professional" listserv through what
is now the sempervigilans.org domain. This website has existed in
various incarnations and on various servers during that time.
CAP-PAO is intended as a discussion
group for a wide range of topics relevant to the CAP communications program.

Your list owner and webmaster is Michael Marek, Lt.Col., CAP.
He is on the CAP National staff and has served as North Central Region PAO,
twice as wing PAO, as well as other wing positions such as Chief
of Staff, Director of Communications and Director of Emergency Services. |
He is a tenured Full Professor of Electronic Media/Mass Communication at Wayne State College, Wayne, NE. In
previous lives has been a broadcast journalist and a fund raiser for
nonprofit organizations. He has held a variety of CAP mission
qualifications, up through Incident Commander.
