2003

Mulder and Scully are on their own, getting by as they can, possibly staying on the road. Mulder would probably not be extradited for his death sentence because the conviction would not hold up to the light of day. (Implied by The Truth)

 

2006, May

William's fifth birthday.  If he is able to do unusual things, they may be showing up by now.

2007

By now, Scully has acquired a job as physician at Our Lady of Sorrows, a Catholic hospital somewhere in Pennsylvania, Virginia or Maryland.  She and Mulder live at a rural farm house.  He becomes a hermit, grows a beard, and spends his days cutting clipping articles out of newspapers and magazines about paranormal activity. He is more or less hiding out from the FBI charges against him. (I Want to Believe) Note: location based on range of a helicoptper flight from Washington DC.

In one possible time line, biology researcher Lisa Ianelli meets a scientist who has discovered how to control tachyons. Research eventually produces a way of causing wormholes through time with these tachyons. The wormholes, however, are extremely hot. Lisa develops a technique, using her friend Jason Nichols' compound that allows freezing of human tissue without cellular damage, to make time travel practical. (Synchrony)

Mulder is no longer wanted by the FBI. "All is forgiven" and he is now considered to be a consultalt.

The date set for the alien invasion, confirmed by Mulder at the Mount Weather Complex at Bluemont, Virginia. (The Truth)

The end of the calendar of the Mayan people, whose calendar was also incorporated into the calendar of the Aztec, who worshiped lizard gods. (Archeological accounts, setting the moment anywhere between December 21 and 23.) Could the lizard gods be based on the reptilian early/larval form of the grey aliens?

Dana Scully's 50th birthday.

2037

In one possible time line, Jason Nichols travels back in time to the year 1997, to attempt to prevent the creation of practical time travel. He feels that it has created a world without history and a world without hope where everyone knows everything that has happened. The meaning of this is obscure. (Synchrony)

2040 circa

In "The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati" we see a dream/vision sequence in which an elderly Mulder and the Cigarette Smoking Man speak, while outside alien spacecraft destroy the Earth. This vision of may have been based on some intuition of Mulder's as to the Colonization.
