Feb. 12, 1950: Grandmom in her wedding dress. I think that's the
best man escorting her. |
|
Feb. 12, 1950: Grandmom & Grandpop's wedding. L-R: Susan Butta
(Grandmom's sister, my Godmother); Grandmom; Grandpop; George Richard
(best man). This picture may have been taken on a day other than
their wedding day. |
|
1952: Grandmom holding me in our living room at 203 N. Curley St. |
|
Late 1952, early 1953: why they did this to me, I'll never know. |
|
1954: me. Grandpop wrote that Grandmom called this one "wind-up
toy" (I guess because of the bow at the back of my dress). |
|
1955: me in Grandpop's garden on Curley St. He always liked to
plant Mexican Roses. I remember him repeatedly telling me not to
really pick the flowers when he took the picture. |
|
1956: me at the piano, living room of Curley St. (opposite wall
from the 1952 photo, above). The ship (Queen Mary) was painstakingly
made by Grandpop from a heavy-paper kit. It was one of my favorite
things in the whole world. |
|
Christmas, 1956: playing my new guitar in my really cool cowgirl
outfit. |
|
1957: me. Grandpop labeled this picture "Glamour Girl" when he
emailed it to me. |
|
1957: me and Aunt Janet on the back steps of Curley St. |
|
early 1958: Looking from the alley toward the back of our yard
(wooden gate & cinder block wall), in the snow. Grandpop took several
pictures of this snowstorm, so it must have been a big one. |
|
1958: me and Aunt Janet. I remember the photographer came to the
house to take our picture. I think this might have been taken when
we lived on Mayview Avenue. |
|
Vincent Butta (Grandmom's father) at Aunt Mae's house on Joppa
Road. Aunt Mae was Grandmom's sister, Carmella, who is in the group
picture on the 1940's page. |
